Jim Nelson
The Original Magic Art Store is honored to host products illustrated by artist Jim Nelson. We are launching with some of his Prints and will be adding even more in the future.
Jim Nelson is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Chicago. He began his career working in comics and quickly transitioned into the game industry, where he spent 12 years working for the Chicago-based game company, FASA Corporation as an artist and art director.
Jim began illustrating Magic cards back in the ‘90s, while still at FASA and has illustrated over 100 cards for the game, from creatures and artifacts to lands and token cards. Over the last few years, he has been focused on work for games like Hearthstone and Skylanders: Battlecast as well as books, including the children’s book, On the Shoulder of a Giant, published by Inhabit Media, Inc. and the upcoming book Gnawer of Rocks, to be released in October 2017.
